As Southeast Orthopedic Specialists continues to grow, we are seeking a Workers Compensation Specialist to join our Central Business Office team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for patients, adjusters, and nurse case managers while ensuring compliance with workers compensation processes, accurate documentation, and timely claims management. General Summary

What You'll Do

  • Answer incoming calls and emails for the Workers Compensation department and set up new patient charts.
  • Schedule appointments, obtain authorizations for visits, surgeries, and physical therapy.
  • Provide end-of-visit documentation to insurance carriers and process outgoing claims.
  • Communicate with adjusters, case managers, and providers regarding patient work status and care needs.
  • Process Worker's Compensation forms and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with payer requirements, state and federal regulations, and clinic policies.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical billing or a medical business office setting.
  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation processes and payer-specific requirements.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve issues, and support both patients and providers effectively.
