SUMMARY
The Lead Therapist directs and manages the clinical activities and outpatient services working with the Regional Program Director (RPD) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and to assure financial viability and contract compliance of assigned programs. Assists in planning, organizing, and directing the admissions and treatment including supervision of staff, program development, program administration, and provides therapeutic services as needed. Maintains knowledge and familiarity of the goals and objectives of the agency.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains knowledge of agency goals and objectives and works concurrently toward these goals and objectives with the RPD and COO by attending key meetings, preparing reports, etc
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills with other program leaders and staff in order to provide quality care to clients. Maintains positive communication linkage with outside supportive sources
- Supervises staff, students, and other clinical support staff
- Manages contractual requirements and ensures staff meet the standard compliance with requirements of funding and accrediting sources including the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (ODMHSAS), and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), manages assigned programs to meet budgetary guidelines
- Plans and develops programmatic goals and objectives, seeking ways in which to work more efficiently and effectively
- Maintains partial caseload, provides quality direct services to clients and may be referred most severe and critical clients, provide consultation for staff with most severe / complex cases
- Ensure quality service to clients and accurate and timely processing of documentation
- Prepares, plans, facilitates, and implements direct care of clients through groups, and individual case management and supportive services
- Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
- Demonstrates expertise in specific theoretical orientation Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc. and models fidelity for staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degreeLicensed in the state of Oklahoma as one of the followingLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LFMT)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)2 years of administrative experience in a mental health settingAbility to exercise independent judgment, shows initiative, tact, and maintains effective working relationships with participants, staff, and the communityKnowledge of computers and ability to complete electronic medical recordsSupervisory experience preferredExperience in working with community social service and health agenciesExcellent of verbal and written communication skillsCommitment to the mission of Red Rock BHSHOW WE TAKE CARE OF YOU!
