The Regional Inventory & Safety Leader is responsible for championing safety and inventory controllership within the warehouses under their area of responsibility. The Inventory and Safety Leader is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory counts and maintaining high standards of controllership within warehouses under their area of responsibility. The leader is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the execution of a robust cycle count program within all warehouses. Ensure successful inventory audits and customer-requested counts, and full system accuracy. Serve as regional WMS expert. The incumbent will champion food safety storage and operator safety initiatives within the region, promoting training and proactive actions to prevent near misses and injury.
Essential Functions :

- Process Flow Diagrams
- 8D (Eight Disciplines)
- Conducting monthly OSHA and food safety internal audits by inspecting and documenting any failures or opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and conduct regulatory and certification body audits for your region.
- Monitor OSHA Safety and Food Safety to ensure facility compliance up to GMP and SQF standards
- Act as primary SQF practitioner, with backup duties on the Director of Food Safety and Quality during absence.
- Champion safety initiatives and support safety compliance tracking
- Communicate and document all work-related injuries, near misses, and other safety-related incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions on any warehouse safety issues
- Develop quality plans for value-added services.
Inventory
Responsible for planning and executing the cycle count schedule for warehouses according to customer and corporate requirements within the assigned region.Perform product reconciliation, track / trace, and recall eventsConsolidate and report inventory accuracy KPIsEnsure robust processes to ensure FEFO compliance for inventory within the warehouse system and for order shipmentsComplete monthly metrics monitoring of warehouse utilization, customer information, etcCollaborate with customers' quality teams for product holds and non-conforming materials.Serve as the primary WMS expert in the regionProvide training and support on WMS systemsSupport IT on equipment / access requests, operational training, and new system implementationLeader
Regularly visit Wavepoint sites to communicate company policy / procedures and receive / provide feedback from team membersOccasional customer site visitation to understand customer needs and assist in developing solutions.Travel up to 40%; travel expenses to out-of-state regions are covered or reimbursed.Company vehicles must be used; exceptions require approvalLeadership roles will be encouraged to develop and learn new professional skills in their assigned roleAll other duties assigned by the Supervisor.Skills

Requirements : Qualifications
Associate's degree in Business Management or similar field and / or 3 years of leadership experience in trucking and warehouse operations.Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practicesStrong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Solid math skills for statistical analysis, and generating trending data in KPIsHands-on experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS) and / or Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERP)Work in a professional mannerAbility to lift 50 poundsQualified to use all material handling equipment (forklifts, walkies, pickers, and scissor lifts) in the warehouseWillingness to complete and maintain professional certifications.Supplemental credentials will be taken into consideration during performance reviews and wage adjustments.Required :
