American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department position with strong pediatric exposure and Epic experience required.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department setting36-bed ER with an average daily census of 70 and 160 visits per dayHandles diverse patient diagnoses including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, pediatric, and OB / GYN emergencies12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am, 36 hours per weekRequired to work every other weekendNo call requirementsFloat to ICU or other ED units as needed for 'Helping Hands' or team nursing responsibilitiesUtilizes Epic EMR (experience required), Omnicell, SBAR, Voalte, Point of Care US, EPOC, Belmont, Ranger, and TeleneurologyResponsibilities include triage, conscious sedation, trauma / stroke / cath lab activation, SANE consultation, and assisting with patient sittingTeam nursing and a 'Helping Hands' approach are utilized for support across unitsUnit orientation consists of 36 hours, including class and clinical timeAny color scrubs may be wornTravelers living within 50 miles of the facility will be accepted at the local rateReferences may be pending at time of start as allowed\n \n Requirements\n
Active NH or compact RN license requiredMinimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience requiredCurrent certifications required : ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI (AHA or Red Cross only)Epic EMR experience requiredStrong pediatric emergency experience highly preferredInterpretation and management of dysrhythmias experience requiredFirst-time travelers not acceptedReferences required for job considerationApplicants who have ever been employed by any Solution Health facility are not eligible\n Benefits\n
