  • Location : Rome, NY 13440 (Central New York nursing jobs)\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit\n
  • Shift : 12 Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)\n
  • Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed)\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 7 / 2026)\n
  • Floating : Required to Medical Surgical unit as needed\n
  • Schedule : Every other weekend and holiday required (limited holiday time-off accepted)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,990–$2,130 per week\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg or Telemetry nursing experience (strong cardiac skills considered)\n
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications\n
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required prior to start)\n
  • Strong IV skills and experience with cardiac drips\n
  • Proficient in reading EKG strips and performing wound care\n
  • Completion of 8 hours of CEUs as part of facility orientation\n
  • Flu vaccine or declination accepted (mask required if declining)\n
  • Travel nursing experience preferred\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients\n
  • Monitor and manage cardiac drips, interpret EKG strips, and deliver comprehensive wound care\n
  • Float to Medical Surgical unit as required to support patient care needs\n
  • Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n
  • Adhere to facility protocols, including completion of required CEUs and certifications\n
  • Work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled\n
