Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT and BLS certification for a night shift position with advanced imaging skills required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • MRI technologist position within a hospital setting focused on magnetic resonance imaging across multiple body regions
  • Night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, from 8 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM, with no weekends, call, or float required
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Work involves imaging adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations; familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatric patients is preferred
  • Experience with GE and Siemens MRI equipment is required
  • Uses Epic for charting and documentation
  • Standard orientation includes hospital and unit onboarding with training scheduled during first week from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
  • May be assigned to Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to work during disaster or catastrophic events
  • No floating to other units or facilities is required for this assignment
  • Royal blue scrubs must be worn
  • RTO after booking is not permitted and RTO during orientation week is not allowed; call offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
  • Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period
  • Prior employees must wait 12 months before reapplying as travelers
  • Candidates living within 50 miles will be offered local pay rates
  • Completion of modules required pre-start and annually per acute care protocols
  • References required at start : two manager or supervisor references from the past 12 months are highly preferred
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent MRI technologist experience required
  • ARRT certification and BLS certification required
  • Advanced MRI skills including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MRI, spin echo, surface coils, T1 and T2, and CINE
  • NC or Compact state license required at time of start; license required if applicable
  • Previous Epic EMR experience required
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
