Demolition Foreman

As a Demolition Foreman, you will be responsible for leading small crews in breaking down and dismantling concrete and other building materials. Your role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient completion of demolition tasks, including debris removal and operating hand and power tools.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and direct small crews in the demolition process.
  • Dismantle concrete, drywall, and other building materials.
  • Remove debris and maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools, and potentially large equipment such as skid steers and loaders.
  • Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Dig, spread, and level dirt and gravel.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures during demolition and cleanup.
  • Interact closely with peers to ensure effective and safe completion of tasks.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines and other regulations.
  • Clean tools and equipment regularly.
  • Complete specific projects and assignments as directed.
  • Travel out of town as necessary for project completion.

Essential Skills :

  • 1+ year of experience as a foreman.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • DBIDS in hand and possession of a REAL ID.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience running crews of five.
  • Familiarity with operating large equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in both outdoor and indoor environments.

    • Work Environment :

  • Work is conducted both outdoors and indoors, regardless of weather conditions.
  • The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 : 30 pm, with occasional Saturdays required.

    • Job Type & Location :

  • This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portsmouth, VA.

    • Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
