Unit Overview : Cardiac Critical Care Unit (CCU)\n\nBeds : 32\n\nNurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 2\n\nPatient Population : Cardiac critical care patients, including those with advanced heart failure, post-cardiac surgery, cardiogenic shock, and patients requiring advanced cardiac support\n\nSpecialty Focus : \n\nCardiogenic shock program with 12 designated beds\n\nProviders specialized in advanced cardiac care\n\n??? Unit Equipment & Procedures : \n\nEquipment Used : \n\nHill-Rom beds\n\nPhillips telemetry monitors\n\nAdvanced Monitoring & Devices : \n\nPA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring\n\nIntra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)\n\nImpella device\n\nContinuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) – preferred\n\nProcedures Performed on Unit : \n\nCentral line insertions\n\nSwan-Ganz catheter insertions\n\nIntubations\n\n?? Technology & Support : \n\nEMR System : Meditech\n\nSupport Staff : \n\nStudent nurse externs assist as techs\n\nUnit secretary available Mon–Fri, 0730–1530\n\n?? Required Experience & Skills : \n\nMUST HAVE : \n\nRecent cardiac critical care experience\n\nStrong critical thinking and ICU background\n\nPREFERRED ADVANCED SKILLS : \n\nExperience with PA catheters, IABP, Impella, CRRT\n\n?? Certifications Required : \n\nBLS – AHA\n\nACLS – AHA\n\nTennessee or Compact RN License\n\n??
