$2,906 per week

About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : RN

Specialty : Cardiac Catheterization / Special Procedures

Duration : 20 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 6 : 00 PM; on call every 3rd weekend and 4-8 additional weekdays per month)

Experience : Minimum years of experience not specified

License : RN License

Certifications : BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA

Must-Have : Associates degree in Nursing or College Diploma in Nursing

Description :

Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.

Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.

Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.

Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards based on patient and family needs.

Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.

Modifies the plan of care based on continuous evaluation.

Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and / or correcting safety hazards and incidents.

Communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues.

Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand knowledge base.

Identifies own learning needs and takes the initiative to implement appropriate solutions.

Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.

Manages care of acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients.

Implements interventions as needed, including medication administration and evaluation of effects.

Documents all care using electronic medical records.

Prepares patients for procedures, pain management, IV venipuncture, blood administration, and monitoring of labs.

Evaluates patients and delegates with appropriate follow-up.

Engages in conflict management.

Utilizes professional communication with all team members.
