Telemetry RN Job Details – Asheville, NC Position : Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (Locum Tenens) Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Unit : 6 West Neurosciences (36-bed telemetry unit) Start Date : October 13, 2025 End Date : January 12, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM (12-hour night shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Schedule : Every other weekend required Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1770 - $1820 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state) Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or medical-surgical nursing experience Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NIH Stroke Scale certification Strong communication and self-motivation skills Neurosciences or neuro nursing experience preferred Ability to float to other med-surg units as needed Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care on a 36-bed neurosciences telemetry unit Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms; respond to changes promptly Perform nursing procedures including Foley catheter insertion and IV starts Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (charge nurses, CNAs, HUCs) Maintain accurate patient documentation using Cerner EMR Follow unit policies, protocols, and utilize reference materials as needed Manage a patient ratio of 5 : 1 to 7 : 1 while providing compassionate, patient-centered care Work every other weekend as part of the regular nursing schedule Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Telemetry RN in Asheville, NC, and take the next step in your nursing career!
