Recreation Aide / CNA Certified required - Dining Experience Assistant

Location : Cheshire House

Schedule : Part-time (Includes weekends and holidays)

Schedule : 3p-8p

At Cheshire House, we believe dining should be more than just a meal - it's an experience filled with comfort, conversation, and care. We're looking for a compassionate Recreation Aide - Dining Experience Assistant to help create a positive, enjoyable atmosphere for our residents during mealtimes and throughout their day.

If you have a caring heart, enjoy helping others, and love bringing smiles to those around you - we'd love to meet you!

What You'll Do :

  • Assist residents during meals, including helping feed individuals who need extra support (training provided).
  • Create a welcoming and social dining experience for residents.
  • Engage residents in friendly conversation and companionship during mealtimes.
  • Help set up and tidy dining areas before and after meals.
  • Safely transport residents to and from the dining room.
  • Work closely with the nursing, dietary, and recreation teams to make mealtimes smooth and enjoyable.
  • Support recreational and social programs before or after meals.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' eating habits or behavior to the nursing team.

What We're Looking For :

  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or healthcare setting is a plus, must be CNA certified
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable and eager to make a difference each day.
