Field Service Technician - UPS / ATS / Generators / Mission Critical

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Field Service Technician with experience in testing and maintaining mission critical infrastructure equipment, including Switchgear, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs), DC plants, Power Distribution Units (PDU), Battery Cabinets, and related critical systems.

Travel Requirements : Out-of-town travel Monday through Friday; home on weekends.

Role Description : This role combines project management skills with hands-on technical work. You will be integral to the lifecycle of our projects, working with a team to ensure high-quality implementations that adhere to strict standards. Key Qualifications :

• Experience in testing and maintaining UPSs, ATSs, Battery Cabinets, PDU, generators, and other electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on generators, ATSs, UPSs, CRACs, DC plants, and similar equipment.
• Conduct onsite Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for electrical gear.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant IST experience.
• Strong project management skills and familiarity with testing procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills for coordinating equipment delivery and onsite activities.
• Ability to review electrical plans and develop solutions for potential risks.
• Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to pass criminal background, DMV, and credit checks.
