The Assistant Construction Manager (ACM) supports the Construction Manager and project team in executing all phases of high-voltage substation projects. This position is part of a structured development program designed to build technical, safety, leadership, and communication competencies in the field. The ACM will be assigned to work under the mentorship of a Construction Manager on an active project site. During this period, the ACM will gain hands-on experience in managing subcontractors, maintaining project documentation, enforcing safety and quality standards, and supporting overall project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Gain knowledge of interpreting plans, reading specifications, reviewing scheduling, and reading subcontracts.
• Demonstrates growing proficiency in applying construction techniques, managing subcontractor activities, and recognizing field-related risks and challenges.
• Maintains project documentation, including but not limited to, Daily Observation Reports, 3WLA tracking, and redlines.
• Verifies material compliance with project standards and approved submittals.
• Conducts quality and safety inspections with growing independence.
• Uses prescribed systems for reporting, communication, and task tracking.
• Supports coordination of subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and safety standards.
• Assists with material tracking, delivery validation, and inventory documentation.
• Documents and participates in daily project meetings, subcontractor coordination sessions, and site audits.
• Evaluates and discusses substation leadership and planning capabilities with CM.
• Develops skills to lead field execution and subcontractor performance discussions with mentor support.

$50,000 - $80,000 a year

Salary range is estimated. Actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications and application of any geographic salary differential.
