Project Accountant

Staffmark has partnered with a commercial construction company in Lafayette, LA, and we are seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow. Schedule | 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday | Salary : $60,000 - $75,000 / yr

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, and financial reports.
• Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, progress billings, and project payments.
• Collaborate with project managers on budget revisions, cost-to-complete estimates, and variance analysis.
• Prepare project-specific financial statements and ensure compliance with contract terms, GAAP, and industry regulations.
• Manage project setup in accounting systems, accounts receivable, and maintain documentation for audits and financial controls.
