Job Title
Manage and control the engineering and plant operations of Providence Place and Mary's Meadow, including the power plant, physical properties and equipment maintenance; repair and operation of systems and facility services; capital planning and projects; safety / risk operations and technical support to the Executive Director. Also provides support to the Sisters of Providence Congregation properties and cemetery.
Direct staff and contractors in maintenance, renovations, construction, and equipment operations.
Assist in contract negotiations and property evaluations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory codes (Mass DPH, DMH, DPS, Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA).
Collaborate on infection control and air quality systems.
Lead safety / risk programs, drills, and policy development.
Oversee housekeeping, laundry, purchasing, and maintenance operations.
Provide strategic leadership and operational planning.
Manage budgets and procurement.
Mentor and evaluate staff performance.
Participate in training and ensure policy compliance.
Respond to occupational exposures and emergencies.
Maintain knowledge of laws, ethics, and disaster recovery plans.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
10+ years in healthcare facility management preferred.
Strong knowledge of public health, building design, and plant services regulations.
Action-oriented, customer-focused, and adaptable.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
High personal accountability and decision-making ability.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to research, analyze, and prioritize workload.
