We are looking for a Senior Commodity Manager to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Commodities and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.

Role and Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and lead the short, mid, and long term sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, to achieve multi sourcing, manage market risks and geo-political impacts.
• Drive cost reduction through negotiation, cost reduction projects, benchmarking, cost modeling, should-be costing, and make vs buy.
• Execution of Business Continuity Plan by identifying and mitigating risks to supply.
• Support release of prototype or qualification material orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage supplier performance related to quality, continuous process improvement, qualification, and reduction in cost of poor quality.
• Ensure availability of materials to support production and order fulfillment.
• Manage or conduct supplier audits, scorecards, and QBR.
• Work closely with contract manufacturers to support technology transfer and DFM activities.
• Ensure seamless transition of changes including technology, ECN, NPI, and minimize related E&O.
• Facilitate problem solving groups to meet the current and future needs of the company.
• Develop strong cross-functional relationships to drive success. Teams may include colleagues from procurement, engineering, quality, manufacturing, finance, marketing, sales, product management, and other departments as needed.
• Role requires 10-25% travel (domestic or international depending on commodity or supplier responsibility).
