Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ECMO Specialist role with a pediatrics focus, requiring Cardio Help experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an ECMO Specialist within a pediatric hospital setting
  • Patient population includes pediatric patients requiring ECMO support for cardiac and non-cardiac indications
  • Specialists must manage both VA ECMO and VV ECMO cases
  • When not assigned to ECMO, will work as a bedside RN in NICU, PICU, or CVPICU
  • Float required to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU units
  • Day shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7 : 00 to 19 : 00
  • Every third weekend of work is required
  • Average patient ratio is 1 : 2
  • Duties include serving as pump specialist for ECMO patients and providing bedside care in critical care units as needed
  • Must be comfortable caring for cardiac, non-cardiac, and NICU pediatric patients
  • First-time travelers are accepted

    • Requirements

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Current BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Cardio Help experience required
  • Prior experience managing both VA ECMO and VV ECMO required
  • Candidates must not be former permanent employees of the specified health system
  • Candidates must live outside a 100-mile radius to be considered
