Aero Engineer for Industrial Machinery R&D
6283 Tri Ridge Blvd, Loveland, OH 45140, USA
Position Summary
The R&D Engineer is responsible for the engineering design and concept development of dry ice blast cleaning and dry ice production equipment with particular emphasis on aeronautical engineering analysis and testing for R&D and support of new product development (NPD).
The Typical Day
A typical day in this job changes from day to day with a lot of variety, but generally would see you doing CFD analysis, data analysis, testing (failure analysis & verifying CFD analysis, pressure loss, etc.). We use Solid Works for 3D modeling and FEA and Solid Works Flow for CFD analysis. You would also spend time in this job doing CAD design in Solid Works, drafting, 3D modeling of new and reworking / optimizing old products. When a customer has a need that is not part of our standard product offering (nozzles), this team designs, tests, analyzes, sample customer parts and writes reports for external and internal customers, entire process from customer contact to working with customer (remotely and at their site), to developing a first article prototype, to commercialization.
