Litigation Assistant

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range : $50,000–$60,000 (based on 2–4 years of experience; negotiable for additional experience)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and paid parking
  • Standard schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch; 37.5 hours / week)

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to join our established litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic legal environment and is committed to delivering high-quality support to attorneys and clients.

Position Overview

As a Litigation Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to two or more litigation attorneys. You will play a critical role in managing case files, coordinating schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of legal documents. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and capable of handling multiple priorities with precision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized electronic and physical client files
  • Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, and schedules
  • Prepare, format, and proofread pleadings and legal documents, including tables of contents and authorities
  • File pleadings electronically in state and federal courts
  • Oversee all stages of the discovery process
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances
  • Review, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ litigation support experience
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and timelines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal billing / timekeeping software preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Minimum of 2 years’ litigation experience required
