Description
The Cardiac ICU a Gold Beacon Award-winning unit that accommodates 20 intensive care unit beds. The primary focus of this unit is the complex medical care of cardiology patients. Nurses in the CICU achieve additional certifications in a variety of devices including ventricular assist devices (VAD), Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Continuous Veno-Venous Hemofiltration (CVVH) and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO).

Qualifications
Position Requirements :
\n
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

1 year of RN experience required
\n
\n
Education Requirements :
\n
Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
\n
Minimum of Diploma / Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.
\n
\n
License Requirements :
\n
Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and / or Multi State Compact License Upon Hire (Required)
\n
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
