Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist experienced in night shift hospital CT imaging with active ARRT, BLS, and NJ X-Ray license required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital radiology department specializing in CT scanning
  • Night shift position Wednesday through Saturday, 9pm-7am
  • CT suite includes multiple scanners (CT 1, 2, and 3) and requires adherence to specific room assignments
  • Epic EMR system is used for charting
  • May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
  • Handles routine, emergency, and trauma CT cases, including Code Grey, Trauma, and Partial Trauma protocols
  • Responsibilities include preparing supplies, verifying patient identification, monitoring patients before and after contrast injections, and reporting changes to clinical staff
  • Maintains CT area cleanliness and equipment, manages inventory and supply levels, and participates in routine cleaning of gantry and peripheral equipment
  • Screens patients for allergies or medication incompatibilities and assesses ability to tolerate contrast media
  • Prioritizes and triages procedures during high-acuity cases and coordinates workflow for emergent requests
  • Adheres to venipuncture and power injector protocols and follows all HIPAA privacy standards
  • Notifies radiologist of critical findings and unusual conditions for optimum patient care
  • Must wear appropriate scrubs as required by department policy

  • High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Radiography training program
  • Active ARRT RT(R) and RT(CT) certification
  • Active NJDEP New Jersey X-Ray License
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with Epic EMR preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals will not be considered
