2 years of ICU experience

EPIC experience required

Oncology experience preferred, but not required

Description :

The Surgical Intensive Care Unit provides care to critically ill patients.

This position is for night shifts requiring a commitment to patient-centered care.

The patient population includes adults with a variety of complex diagnoses.

Common patient diagnoses include hemorrhagic shock, hypovolemic shock, and sepsis.

Nurses will manage external ventricular drain systems and ICP monitoring.

The role includes utilizing advanced technologies such as CRRT and mechanical ventilation.

Key responsibilities also include titration of vasoactive drips and managing patients with multi-system organ dysfunction.

Experience in oncology is a plus but not mandatory for this position.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong skills in assessing and responding to patient needs effectively.

Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential for optimal patient outcomes.

Candidates must be prepared for potential floating to other units as needed.
