Licensed Inside Underwriter

A company is looking for an Inside Underwriter to support a team by identifying and arranging appropriate insurance coverage for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the underwriting process and ensure adherence to carrier guidelines and company policies

Submit information to brokerage markets for accounts outside binding authority and make underwriting decisions

Develop and maintain relationships with carriers while negotiating terms and confirming new and existing business

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or appropriate insurance designation

Three years of experience in underwriting or brokering E&S or specialty insurance products

Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance

Ability to independently manage the underwriting and brokerage process

Strong knowledge of underwriting practices related to the types of accounts handled by the team
