Village Italian is now hiring Greeters and Bussers, located at Vickery Village on Post Road in Cumming.

At Village Italian we are dedicated to providing high quality cuisine for a good value, a warm and welcoming ambiance, and a truly attentive service that is redefining dining in Forsyth County.

Area diners can expect signature pizzas, pastas, among other Italian food staples in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. As the busser, you help create the perfect dining experience by working as a team with the servers to make sure that our guests are seated and tables are always clean and ready to go. This cooperation gives guests the best possible Village Italian experience.

As a Greeter for Village Italian you will be expected to (but are not limited to the following) :

• Greets and seats guests, presents menus to guests, informs them of specials and soups.
• Treats guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
• Takes names on a waiting list.
• Runs the floor plan board.
• Observes tables and keep track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information and quotes wait to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Cleans, organizes and stocks menus at host area.
• Answers phone and answers questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
• Interacts with guest during their stay and as they depart the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Maintains restrooms throughout shift.
• Other duties as directed.
• Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
• Must possess excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, servers, team members, and guests.)
• Must be able to read, write and determine wait time based on the restaurants procedures.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Must be a multi-task oriented.
• Possess working knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

As a Greeter for our distinguished establishment, you will be the welcoming face who greets our guests first, ensuring that each guest receives a warm and personalized greeting upon arrival as well as when they are leaving. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for a memorable dining experience, providing exceptional customer service, and efficiently managing reservations and seating arrangements.

As a Busser for Village Italian you will be expected to (but are not limited to the following) :

As a busser for Village Italian you will set the stage for a memorable meal, ensuring our dining rooms are sparkling clean and guests have everything they need. You’ll move like lightening to get tables ready for the next guests ensuring a smooth service.

The work that bussers do is both physically and mentally demanding. They are on their feet much of the time. Bussers must work well under pressure and exercise tact and patience when dealing with other employees and customers. Because the restaurant serves the public and are open on weekends and at night, bussers may work longer, irregular hours. The description of the physical demands and the work environment characteristics here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform and those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk with heavy trays / tubs (up to 50 pounds). The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific sensory abilities required by this job include sight, taste, smell, and hearing.
