A Hug Away Medical Supplies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HME Store Manager to oversee our medical supply storefront operations. This role is ideal for a highly organized, compassionate professional with strong HME experience who thrives in a patient-focused, compliance-driven environment. This position may be part time to start.

Responsibilities :

  • Intake using EMR systems to capture patient demographics and check eligibility.
  • Inventory Control : Conduct monthly inventory audits, track usage, monitor expiration dates, and coordinate restocking.
  • Sales & Order Coordination : Manage the HME order process from intake to delivery and follow-up, including insurance verification and patient education.
  • Compliance Oversight : Ensure compliance with Medicare, HQAA, HIPAA, and OSHA standards; maintain required documentation and operational logs.
  • Customer Service : Address patient concerns, resolve issues promptly, and conduct post-delivery satisfaction calls.
  • Vendor & Partner Communication : Liaise with suppliers, delivery staff, referral sources, and healthcare partners.
  • Reporting : Compile and submit monthly inventory and sales reports; contribute to quarterly quality improvement reports (QAPI).
  • Contracting : Ensure contracts are properly placed to control operations such as credentialing and vendor partnerships
  • Marketing Support : Assist with community outreach and referrals; implement in-store promotions and education events.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience in Home Medical Equipment (HME) or medical supply operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare intake, billing, DME regulations, and patient education.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks , Microsoft Office, and EMR systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
