We have an opportunity for an electrical engineer who is seeking to utilize their strong academic background and experience in RF / Microwave system theory and design, including architectures, subsystems, components and Active Electronically Steered Antennas (AESAs).  The successful candidate will employ their working knowledge of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and analytical skills in electromagnetic and microwave theory.

Responsibilities include design and hands-on testing of microwave components, cards and systems plus providing technical support to production activities.  Team leadership skills including cost and schedule management plus proposal writing and presentation experience are desired.

The Antenna and Microwave Department provides innovative and affordable solutions to our customers in all business areas. We are responsible for designing phased antenna systems including active and passive microwave components, radiators, radomes and a variety of RF subassemblies. We develop new technologies for advanced capabilities and provide support to all life-cycle phases of the best radar systems in active worldwide deployments and grow our people with exciting new challenges, on-the-job training, mentoring and purposeful rotations.

What You Will Do

• Design of RF microwave components and phased applications
• Integration and test of component level and system level phased hardware
• Some travel to integration sites, plus customer and subcontractor facilities, may be required

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
