About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Profession : Nursing

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience, including endoscopy procedures and moderate sedation.

License : RN license required.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS required.

Must-Have : Experience with ERCP, upper / lower endoscopy, EUS, and moderate sedation recovery. Experience with EPIC charting system required. Pre and post-procedure care experience essential.

Description :

This position involves working in a general hospital setting.

The facility has 231 beds and is a teaching hospital.

The nursing unit focuses on endoscopic and minor operative procedures.

RNs will primarily circulate in the procedure room and may scrub basic tech cases.

Required skills include strong GI and pulmonary endoscopy experience.

The nurse will recover patients from moderate sedation.

Telemetry experience is a plus but is not mandatory.

The unit provides support through charge nurses who may take patient assignments, and phlebotomy is available.

An IV / VAT team is present for hard sticks; resource nurses are available at night.

The hospital employs EPIC and Alaris as charting systems and equipment.

Nurses will rotate weekends and are expected to work during holidays as per unit requirements.

Call requirements vary based on unit needs, with a 30-minute response time.

No block scheduling is available.

Scrub color is navy or procedural based on the area worked.

Employees must keep natural nail tips less than one inch long and cannot have artificial fingernails or extenders while providing direct patient care.
