Law Enforcement Liaison
Under general direction of the County Attorney, the Law Enforcement Liaison will, on a timely basis, assist in the receipt, dissemination, and tracking of all criminal cases received from law enforcement agencies. Receive and maintain electronic documents received from various law enforcement agencies. This is a part-time position (16-20 hours per week).
Essential Duties
- Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance at a specified location in order to perform assigned tasks.
- Track all arrests associated with criminal cases received by the County Attorney Office
- Assign, process and document all cases given to BHC Assistant Attorneys
- Contact law enforcement agencies as needed to follow up on reports or to request follow up work that may be necessary
- Input and maintain information in the County Attorney Department case management system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervision Received : Supervision is received from the County Attorney
- Supervision Exercised : No functional or administrative supervision is exercised over support staff.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.5 or more years of law enforcement experience.Working knowledge of Iowa's criminal statutory scheme.Demonstrated job-related experience in a governmental environment is preferred.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Must be proficient in computer software applications.Supplemental Information
