Job Description Summary

The plant utility will flow to work performing sanitation duties, line inspections and rework. This includes line break sanitation activities, removing stagnant product from equipment, mixing and handling chemicals, and end of cycle cleaning. The plant utility will flow through position and inspect raw and finished product looking and removing any foreign material and product quality defects. Rework finished cased product meeting hourly / daily targets through bag blending, opening, and removing bags from cases and blending to line or to a tote across all lines.

Job Description

• Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning agents and their uses, understand how to mix chemicals, identify hazards and first aid procedures associated with chemicals.
• Clean equipment using established standard operating procedures using manual cleaning, use of high pressure hoses, ladders, air hoses and hot water units.
• Remove cases from pallets and reworking product through bag blending, reworking to totes or sorting out cases from the pallet. Also, qualify to operate tote dumps in packaging.
• Manually inspect raw and finished product for any foreign material, excess vine or quality defects removing any defective product and disposing.
• Perform firewatch duties, qualify for confined space, and qualify for elevated work.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Actively participate in Company Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice Programs.
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.
