The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s organic social media presence across corporate-owned channels. This role focuses on strategic engagement, rental revenue influence through bookings, brand storytelling, and resort / offering promotion. Responsibilities include content creation, channel strategy execution, scheduling, optimization, trend application, and influencer program support. This position also helps oversee resort-level localization efforts and may coordinate with interns or resort contributors to ensure a consistent and strategic flow of content.
This role requires a hands-on content creator who can travel as needed to capture on-site material, maintain a deep understanding of social trends, and ensure strategies are aligned to both brand objectives and measurable business outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS :
Content Strategy & Execution - Develop, schedule, and publish organic social media content across channels. Ensure content aligns with strategic goals, including engagement optimization, brand awareness, and rental booking influence.
Channel Management & Optimization - Monitor performance analytics, identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion impact, and implement optimization strategies. Stay current on social trends and platform best practices to drive relevance.
Localization & Resort Content Program - Facilitate the resort localization strategy, supporting property-level social presence while maintaining consistency with corporate brand and strategy.
Influencer & Partnership Support - Support influencer partnerships, including coordinating stays, capturing content deliverables, and contributing to the development of strategic influencer initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting - Track KPIs, prepare reports, and provide strategic insights on content performance, engagement, and rental booking impact to inform future strategy.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field.
3-5 years of social media experience, with a strong focus on organic channel management, content creation, and strategy
Experience with Sprout Social or similar platforms (preferred).
Experience with Workfront (preferred).
