Bar And F&B Operations Manager
Under the strategic direction of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Bar and F&B Operations Manager is responsible for the leadership and operational oversight of all hotel beverage outlets, including the iconic Redwood Room bar. This role ensures a profitable, service-driven operation with a strong focus on luxury guest experiences, team development, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings a background in upscale hotel bar environments, expertise in cocktail program development, and a proactive, hands-on leadership style.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee daily operations of all beverage outlets, with a primary focus on Redwood Room, ensuring alignment with brand standards and financial objectives.
- Lead the design, execution, and evolution of cocktail and beverage programs, including training and mentoring staff on mixology techniques and guest engagement.
- Conceptualize and implement seasonal bar activations and initiatives to drive revenue and enhance guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and liquor regulations, including active adherence to Local 2 union guidelines.
- Actively promote bar visibility and business through strategic marketing efforts, including expanding the 7Tables database.
- Monitor and maintain consistent service quality and beverage presentation through daily lineups, service audits, and guest feedback.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and the aesthetic of all bar and adjacent areas.
- Provide leadership and direction to the bar team, including scheduling, performance evaluations, hiring input, and development planning.
- Maintain labor and beverage costs in line with departmental budget and productivity targets.
- Conduct and document daily and monthly team training sessions to enhance product knowledge, service standards, and guest interaction skills.
- Maintain accurate scheduling, vacation bidding, and payroll processing in accordance with Local 2 union standards.
- Ensure timely completion of all departmental compliance training.
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury hotel bar or upscale cocktail-focused outlet.Deep knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and current cocktail trends.Working knowledge of POS systems (preferably Simphony) and back-office software including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe programs.Familiarity with Local 2 union rules and operational standards.Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English; multilingual abilities (Spanish or Cantonese) are a plus.Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.High-energy leadership style with the ability to manage through high and low volume periods while maintaining a guest-first focus.Strong organizational and team-building skills to inspire excellence across all levels.Physical Abilities :

Pay Range : $80,000 - $90,000 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific / overall experience.
