Job Description

International Protective Service, Inc. (IPS) currently has an open position for a full-time Mechanic. The role involves repair and maintenance of the corporate fleet of vehicles near Malibu, CA, with opportunities for a well-trained mechanic. Responsibilities include overseeing outsourced repairs, ensuring quality assurance, and regular auditing of vehicle services. Daily tasks include diagnostic testing and fluid top-offs. Repairs to body, paint, engine, interior, windshield, etc., are also part of the role.

It is important to IPS that candidates focus solely on the IPS fleet, which includes approximately 15 vehicles such as Crown Victorias, Explorers, F150s, Tahoes, Suburbans, police packages, and large executive fleet vehicles of various makes and models. Candidates should not have side jobs or interests conflicting with this focus. All candidates will undergo a 90-day probationary period. Candidates must provide their own tools and equipment (contact IPS for details).

Employees are expected to clock in and out as scheduled with supervision. Mechanics are employees of IPS and must meet all position expectations.

Zero fraternizing policy : Mechanics must maintain a professional relationship with all employees, vendors, and clients. All duties require approval from upper IPS leadership.

  • Must pass a full criminal background check
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
  • Must pass a full credit check
  • Must have auto mechanic experience
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance across various models
  • Willing to work hard, be accountable, and maintain consistent schedule with self-supervision
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Salary : Negotiable based on experience
