Responsibilities Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a hospital setting Night shift schedule : 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 00 Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 Unit treats patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure Continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID patients are utilized Equipment used includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, GE Ventilator, and a boom lift in each patient room Epic EMR experience required Responsibilities include skilled care for critically ill patients with complex conditions Candidates must urgently comply with Ohio fingerprinting process upon contract signing Former employees must have a minimum 6-month separation from the hospital to be eligible Current employees are not eligible for travel positions at Ohio State University hospital locations Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers All RTO requests must be submitted and built into the contract Scrub and dress code requirements will be provided upon hire Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications only) Proficient in IV start, telemetry, and ventilator management Demonstrated competency with Epic EMR required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor, manager, or director Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622454.
