JOB SUMMARY :

Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy / agricultural equipment that may include, but is not limited to; front-end loaders, skid steers, track-hoes, and bulldozers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Always operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned / approved destination.
  • Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
  • Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment / tools setup.
  • Maintain operation records.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES :

  • Communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment safely.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to follow directions.

  • Clean MVR
  • Dump truck and / or yard jockey experience a plus, not required

    • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Class A CDL a plus, not required.
  • Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience preferred.
  • Clean MVR

    • WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
  • The employee is subject to confined spaces.
  • The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions : No effective protection from weather.
  • The employee is subject to atmospheric conditions.
  • The employee is subject to hazards : Including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat, or exposure to bio-solids.
  • This position requires overtime.
