Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the The Chare Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Identifies expected outcomes for patients' individualized treatment plan.

Hours Per Week : 36
Scheduled Work Hours / Shift : 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 7A-7P, every other weekend, rotating holidays.
Job Summary / Purpose : The Chare Nurse plans, directs, and evaluates the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit or during an assigned shift. Coordinates the activities of the unit and directs, organizes, and assigns work to the nursing staff. Assesses, monitors, and educates the nursing staff on patient care. Institutes emergency procedures as necessary. Identifies expected outcomes for patients' individualized treatment plan.
Minimum Training and Education : Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations : Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR / AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) also required.
