POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Database Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will architect and optimize data infrastructures while leading data engineering projects, mentoring junior engineers, and enhancing our ability to meet evolving business demands. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Databricks, and Informatica, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Location : Northern Virginia / Remote

Clearance Requirement :

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 Equivalent Clearance issued by CBP.

US citizenship is required to meet this requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Database Architecture & Development

Architect and manage complex Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to support core applications and analytics.

• Design and optimize database structures for peak performance and scalability.
• Implement advanced data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical).

Data Integration & ETL Leadership

Lead the development and maintenance of ETL workflows using Informatica.

Big Data & Cloud Platform Expertise

Spearhead Databricks initiatives for big data processing and preparation.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

Monitor and optimize database performance, including SQL tuning and indexing.

Leadership & Collaboration

Engage with teams to understand data requirements and develop aligned solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Advanced proficiency in Databricks for big data processing.

Preferred Qualifications :

Occasional local travel within the DC Metro area may be required.
