Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring two years of experience, current certifications, and familiarity with Epic EMR.

Responsibilities Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 16 L&D beds and a 6-bed triage area

Care for neonates / infants and adult patients including labor (vaginal), C-sections, multiple births, post-partum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, and D&C cases

Typical patient ratio is 1 : 1-2 with an average daily census of 15

Night shifts (3x12 hours), 19 : 00 to 07 : 00, with at least 3 weekend shifts per contract

Floating required within the facility

Two on-call shifts per 6 weeks for both AM and PM shifts

Epic EMR experience required; uses Pyxis and SBAR

Serve as part of a team-focused Labor & Delivery unit specializing in high-acuity OB cases

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Compliance must be completed before start; orientation modules are required and completed during orientation

No blocked scheduling allowed

Travelers are required to work all assigned major holidays unless approved RTO is granted per policy

Maximum 7 days RTO allowed; no RTO during first week

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Staff who were permanent or PRN must be away from all facilities for at least one full year prior to returning as a traveler

Travel pairs cannot be assigned the same shift on the same unit

Requirements Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of application

Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP; AWHONN Intermediate preferred

Experience with Epic EMR required

First-time travelers are not accepted

Must provide two supervisory references from managers or above for consideration

Must be able to complete compliance, labs, and required documentation within 48 hours of signing
