Principal Objectives
As Vista Group transitions existing on-premise customers to our cloud platform, the Cloud Solution Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring migrations are accurately scoped, risks are identified early, and delivery is efficient and predictable.
This role leads the discovery process and owns the end-to-end solution design. You will identify how customers use our platform, uncover customizations, and translate this into solution design documentation to support effective project delivery and scope control. The role helps avoid last-minute blockers and ensures full alignment between customers and internal teams before delivery.
Once the project is underway, this role supports the regional delivery team by assisting in resolving issues and creating solutions to keep the project on track.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Pre-Sales Support
Support the S&P team during pre-sales by identifying risks or gaps early in the engagement.Review customer pipeline, understand discovery needs, and early identify technical risks.Discovery & Solution Design
Execute Discovery 1 : run and interpret scripts (SQL, PowerShell) to gather technical details. Facilitate Discovery 2 : conduct structured workshops to document functional usage, integrations, and customizations.Complete Discovery documentation, gathering insights internally and engaging with customers for clarification.Documentation & Scope Definition
Create comprehensive Solution Design Documents for project scoping, SOW, effort estimation, and risk identification.Maintain structured documentation using SharePoint, Wrike, and other tools.Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Delivery
Participate in internal kick-offs to align scope and customer context.Present findings in Discovery Review Meetings to stakeholders.Collaborate with development and engineering teams to validate scope and inform resourcing.Support the delivery team during project progression and assist with design challenges.Ongoing Process Improvement & Refinement
Conduct lessons learned sessions to improve future processes.Challenge and enhance discovery methods, automate risk capturing where possible.Requirements
Skills and Experience
Essential
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Vista software, preferably in customer-facing delivery or rollout of on-premise products.Strong business analysis background with deep knowledge of Vista's product suite and cinema industry workflows.Technical literacy : ability to read SQL, interpret environment configurations, troubleshoot data from scripts.Experience leading discovery or design workshops with enterprise customers.Excellent documentation and communication skills.Familiarity with project tools like Wrike, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.Preferred
Experience with cloud migration projects or enterprise software implementations.Understanding of integrated systems like payment gateways, loyalty platforms, digital channels.Knowledge of customer infrastructure dependencies (timezones, internet access, allow-listed services).Ways of Working
Discovery timelines vary; some are intensive on-site over days, others span weeks.Work with globally distributed teams, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.Adapt in ambiguous or evolving environments, updating documentation and scope iteratively.Some travel may be required for on-site discovery or workshops.Shared Standards
