Job Summary : Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a setting that exemplifies best practices and outstanding customer service. This role fosters relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, relevant nursing practice acts, and regulatory agency standards. Acute care departments include Medical, Surgery, Emergency, Intensive Care, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy / GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab units.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.
- Apply new knowledge and skills from ongoing education to improve patient care and promote cost-saving measures.
- Make patient care assignments based on nurse expertise, patient acuity, and technical needs.
- Deliver excellent guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
- Communicate proactively with patients and healthcare teams to manage expectations and ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
- Prioritize safety for patients, guests, staff, and self by adhering to safety protocols, reporting near misses, and following HIPAA and national safety standards.
- Engage in professional growth through leadership opportunities, certifications, advanced degrees, and shared governance.
- Foster teamwork by motivating and guiding colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and providing mentorship and feedback.

Education and Experience :
Graduate of an accredited nursing school or, if unaccredited, a minimum of five years acute care nursing experience.Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications to be obtained and maintained as required.Licensure and Certifications :
Current active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.Work Shift : Night shift (3rd shift), full-time, 36 hours per week.
