Description : Job Summary :
The QC Technician maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
Responsibilities of the Position :
- Perform equipment verification and monitoring challenges (scale calibration, metal detector challenge, checkweigher challenge)
- Perform pre-operation and line clearance inspections
- Perform ATP sampling
- Independently perform and document all in-process food safety and quality inspections (BOM, lot code, net weight, label review, sensory, package construction and closure)
- Independently perform blow molding and winding inspection (Bartlett only)
- Responsible for investigation and following hold procedures for out of specification components and finished goods
- Trained in GMP and GDP - Performs GMP-related auditing of production
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; cooperation and teamwork as well as complying with legal regulations.
- Work overtime hours as required by business needs.
- Attends selected meetings and trainings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Computer literacy with tablets (such as iPads or other touch screen technology)General math skillsAbility to read and write EnglishEducation and Experience :
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-6 months related food quality experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredWorking Conditions :
Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degreesThis position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business.Physical Requirements :
