The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend and must be available to cover 2 out of 3 major winter holidays. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Pediatric Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing and demonstrate proficiency in ventilator management and tracheostomy care. This role involves providing high-quality care to a diverse pediatric population with complex medical needs. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in an LTAC setting. Manage ventilator settings and perform tracheostomy care. Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Ensure adherence to infection prevention and isolation precautions. Perform complex wound care and monitor for complications. Document patient care using the Epic charting system. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, preferably in a long-term care setting. Previous charge experience is preferred. Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred. Experience with various modes of ventilation and tracheostomy management. Competency in NG tube management and ostomy care is preferred.
