Metal Building Industries specializes in designing, providing, and installing complex Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) for the commercial construction market. Utilizing a 3D-native design workflow, we deliver projects from concept to completion faster and with higher quality than our competitors. We are driven by the idea that the world doesn't need another building company...what the world needs is a better way to build a building. We are looking to expand our business geographically, specifically to the OKC, Wichita, NW Arkansas, SE Missouri, and Northern Texas markets and are seeking a construction sales executive to join in our adventure.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid office / field sales role, based in either Tulsa or Oklahoma City, OK. The Outside Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new project opportunities and invitations to bid (General Contractors), creating interest in and scheduling lunch and learn presentations (Architects), developing and maintaining industry relationships (Architects, GCs, and Owners), following up on sales activities, and securing new construction contracts. This role will be supported by a dedicated estimator and marketer for everyday tasks with help from the CEO, as needed, for special customer engagements (such as Lunch and Learns).

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the commercial construction industry, metal building systems a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a gift for explaining new concepts and ideas
  • Strong ability to navigate external organizations, build rapport, and influence decision-makers
  • Ability to work independently and travel as required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience and results matter most
  • Proficiency in reading and comprehending construction drawings
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital takeoff tools
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (valid driver's license required)
