Job Title : Helpdesk Support Specialist

Location : Des Moines, IA 50266 (Remote – Must reside within 30 minutes of the client's location in Des Moines, IA 50266)

Traget Start Date : October 5, 2025

Pay Rate : $20.00 / hour

Duration : 12 months (with potential for extension)

Pre-Employment Requirement :  Must be willing to submit to  background  screening

Overview :

Join a dynamic enterprise-level service desk team supporting internal employees of a major financial institution. This is a remote role, but candidates must live within 30 minutes of a designated office in Des Moines. You’ll be part of a structured training program and receive ongoing support as you transition into your shift.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide technical support via inbound phone calls and chats
  • Troubleshoot issues such as password resets, VPN connectivity, Outlook / email problems, and application errors
  • Use internal knowledge base to identify solutions and implement workarounds
  • Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts when needed
  • Support remote users with software installations, printer setup, and mobile device troubleshooting

Required Qualifications :

  • 12–24 months of previous Service Desk or technical support experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft products (Windows 10, O365, Outlook, Teams)
  • Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and mobile device support (iOS / Android)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Reliable internet connection and quiet home workspace
  • Additional Notes :

  • Attendance and reliability are critical
  • Flexibility required during training and shift assignment
  • This is not a 100% remote role — local residency near Des Moines is required

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
