ICU RN Job Details

Location : Sanford, NC 27330 – Central North Carolina, close to Raleigh, Durham, and the Research Triangle

Healthcare Setting : Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 8-bed unit

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025, End : 2 / 2 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed weekly hours)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend / as needed

Float Requirement : Yes, patient ratio 1 : 6

Electronic Health Record : Cerner EHR

Dress Code : Scrub color of your choice (no casual wear)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license eligible to practice in North Carolina

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPI / HWC / MAB, NIH Stroke Scale

Strong clinical skills and ability to provide care for diverse patient populations (all ages)

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ICU RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU

Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions

Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced nursing procedures

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Float to other units as needed, maintaining a patient ratio of 1 : 2-3

Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic health records
