Job Title : Senior IT Project Manager (Government, PMP, Agile, COTS / SDLC)
Location : Albany, NY(Hybrid)
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Qualifications :
- Proven experience managing and leading multiple large-scale, complex IT projects for U.S. Government agencies, serving as Project Manager. These projects typically include budgets exceeding $500,000, durations over 12 months, multiple funding sources (Federal and grant-funded), third-party vendor management, external stakeholder coordination, multi-level team structures, and deployment across geographically distributed user bases.
- Experienced in developing and executing comprehensive project management plans, encompassing Charter, Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality, Communication, Change, Risk, Issue, and Resource Management Plans, and overseeing their execution throughout the entire project lifecycle - from initiation to closeout.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining formal project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, tracking progress and variances against established baselines, and applying Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. Proficient in using standard project management techniques (e.g., Scrum sessions) to update schedules and in presenting status reports to ITS and client agency leadership.
- Strong experience in developing, documenting, and managing detailed Scope Documents, reviewing project deliverables, overseeing the deliverable acceptance process, and using scope and deliverable management practices to control and process project change requests.
- Hands-on experience in project quality management, including quality planning, assurance, control, end-to-end system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect tracking, metrics management, and quality governance.
- Demonstrated success managing both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software implementation projects and custom application development (SDLC) projects.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) and PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
