Our Head Start Locations The OHCAC Head Start Classrooms provide high-quality care for children during the critical first 2,000 days of life by operating  8   learning centers, serving children birth through five years old, in Marion, Morrow, Crawford, & Richland counties. Because of our high standards, all sites achieved a 5-Star rating on the Step-Up-To-Quality system.

Job Requirements The minimum requirement is an Associate Degree in social work, human services, family services counseling, or a related degree, (Psychology), in the field of Family Services.

OHCAC Head Start offers Base Pay :

• $20.51 - $23.78 hour College reimbursement benefit to help all full-time, benefit eligible employees advance their education.  Opportunity for staff to attend paid in-service trainings, seminars, training sessions, and meetings outside of the organization to stay on top of research and best practices.  Comprehensive benefits package, including : medical, dental, vision, 401k with employer contribution (regardless of employee’s contribution amount), vacation / sick / holiday paid time off, employer paid life insurance and long-term disability, and many other benefits.  Job Summary Recruit, complete and maintain enrollment with eligible families, develop a rapport and provide service through ongoing interactions Work with families to assess their strengths and support them in setting and meeting individual and family goals.
• Guide families toward healthy self-reliance.
• Encourage and support families to ensure completion of their child’s health screenings.
• Nurture positive relationships with families as they prepare their children for successful transitions to kindergarten and beyond.
• Use the many tools available through the Head Start / Early Head Start programs to identify obstacles and surmount them.
• Partner with local community resources and agencies.
