Job Opportunity : Paralegal

A national insurance coverage law firm in Trumbull, Connecticut, is seeking a Paralegal with 5+ years of experience to support multiple attorneys in our Connecticut office. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters proactively and expeditiously, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often under tight deadlines.

The firm represents policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, advising clients on insurance coverage issues including policy placements, renewals, drafting policy language, contractual risk transfer, and claims, as well as litigating coverage disputes with insurance carriers.

Responsibilities :

Provide paralegal support for multiple attorneys

Manage complex litigation files

Prepare pleadings

Oversee filings in multiple jurisdictions throughout the U.S.

Manage large amounts of documents and document productions

Qualifications :

Minimum of 5 years' experience in complex litigation

Experience with multiple jurisdictions

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program

Experience with various aspects of large case litigation

Ability to work independently and in a team setting

Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize workload

Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
