Job Description :

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Analyst to implement and maintain the first web-based participant Portal for the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Program.

As the IT Infrastructure Support Analyst you will test, implement and maintain updated technology resources and provide system support for automated business applications related to the WIC data system.

Job Duties :

• Implementing and maintaining the first web-based participant portal.
• Testing, implementing, and maintaining updated technology resources related to the WIC data system including :
• Participant texting
• Vendor point-of-sale systems and EBT redemption
• Creating data reports from the WIC data system
• Network server support and coordination, to include software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Research and test new IT products to increase program efficiencies.
• Providing technical support to internal and externa end-users of the above systems.
• Assist with system back-ups, user management, and monitoring system performance
• Create and provide training for end users and internal / external partners.
• Liaison with WIC IT vendors
• Enabling and disabling IT components / processes as needed - our IT partners at OCIO, DHHS IT, and outside vendors coordinate with this position for scripts, ticketing, troubleshooting, and system deployments, maintenance, and enhancement decisions as needed. The position acts as the voice of NE WIC for IT system changes as part of user group activities on two committees - the Change Control Board and the User Acceptance Testing workgroup. The position acts and the primary tester and ticket maker for NE WIC IT for the MIS, participant portal, and EBT systems.
• The position coordinates IT pilot projects and statewide rollouts with 13 local agencies at over 95 clinics in collaboration with the WIC BSA / C and Program Manager. The WIC BSA / C relies on input from this position to inform business decisions for user management, IT infrastructure needs, MIS maintenance and enhancement efforts, and the participant portal pilot and rollout project

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Associate degree in computer science and two years of related technical and business experience. Two years of related technical and business experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. OR Post high school coursework in computer science and three years of related technical and business experience. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications : 2 year degree in Computer Science, Application Development, Networking, IT Security, or similar and at least 1 year of experience in an IT role working with networks, security, application development, or similar.
