Position Overview

We are seeking Mechanical Designers and Engineers with experience in multi-family commercial HVAC design, including performing Manual J, S, D calculations, duct layout design in AutoCAD, and ensuring compliance with ACCA, IRC, and IBC standards. The role involves collaborating across disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform heat loss / gain calculations and design duct systems using Wrightsoft and AutoCAD.
  • Design HVAC systems for commercial and residential buildings, including multi-family, low-rise, and high-rise structures.
  • Coordinate project meetings, respond to RFIs, and communicate with clients.
  • Generate detailed construction drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial buildings.
  • Proficiency with Wrightsoft, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
  • Knowledge of building codes including California Title 24, IRC, IBC, and ICC standards.
