Manager, Contracts (State & Local Government)

Join KPMG US as a Manager, Contracts (State & Local Government) to oversee and manage a portfolio of contracts specific to California.

Responsibilities :

  • Apply a thorough understanding of contract lifecycle management practices to oversee and manage a portfolio of contracts specific to California.
  • Recommend and execute process enhancements and improvements; document current policies, processes, and protocols to help ensure consistency.
  • Act as end-to-end point of contact throughout the contract management process, escalating to leadership when necessary.
  • Interface regularly and effectively with business partners and professionals, as well as external clients regarding execution of responsibilities.
  • Execute tactical plans that support strategic objectives and establish credibility across peer group and ECC leaders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in managing a portfolio of commercial contracts, procurement, or in another capacity directly reviewing, drafting, or negotiating contracts specific to the state of California.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university is required; Master's Certificate or industry certifications from National Contract Management Association (NCMA) is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Tools, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel.
  • Capability to identify contract risks and mitigations and identify, analyze, and articulate improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to manage projects and processes, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the organization.

    • KPMG complies with all local / state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. The California Salary Range for this position is $101,200 - $215,100. KPMG offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. KPMG is an equal opportunity employer.
